To our dearest niece and cousin,
have a wonderful birthday, we think of you so often and would have loved to share this special day with you... Uncle Tom is poorly and so hasn't been able to come down to London today with your present, but will bring it and leave it at Mamine and Papytail's house as soon as he is well enough.
