The time had to come.... my baby, my youngest, had to leave her toddlerhood behind to become a fully fledged pre-schooler... :( Some coming to terms still required!
An early start with strawberry delight for breakfast and present opening delight, then into the bus... and off to a Mc D's for breakfast (a first....probably not to be repeated;))
Then the fun... A day at Twin lakes fun park.... 5hrs of fun and jollifications, a picnic lunch before a tired drive home for a BBQ sausage and pasta tea with a bowl of jelly with very wibbly wobbly candles in it! In pyjamas and settled on the sofa to watch 'Charlotte's web'before a tired three year old girl snuggled into bed....

Mothering Sunday
(Apologies for the delay in posting this,I had written the post and put it in drafts, waiting for the slide show which I then promptly forgot!Oh well! Enjoy the photos)
An early start... a VERY early start! Not much chance of a lie in today! Down to Fetcham in time for the 0930 service at St Mary's (our previous church)and time to catch with many old friends... many of whom hadn't met Leah! Then off to Tata's for a love;y family gathering to clebrate mothers and Papytail's 70th! Stunning weather enabled the children (and a few unruly adults)to run around before we shared in a sumptuous feast both savoury and then cakes! Thanks Tata for hosting it, we had a great time, it'd been too long since the second cousins had met up. A tourist's journey back through London delighted the children with the well known sights and not too much traffic! Pooped to say the least could have been an apt adjective to describe our motley crew on arrival back in Linclnshire... but it was so well worth it :)

Memories of a wonderful day...
What better way to celebrate a birthday than a day trip with the family?
Well, this was a special birthday, and so, deserved a special trip.
To help the transition into his septuagenarian status, three daughters (and token grand-daughter by default of being the only preschooler) joined the main man and his wife on a day trip to France, to remember! An early 5am start and we drove down past 'Le Touquet' for a lunch on the beach front in glorious sunshine. A supermarket dash to fill the boot with tasty goodies and then back to good old blightey. A day filled with family, fun, laughs, sand, shells, presents and lots and lots to fit in!
Thank you for a lovely day....
