St David's day family walk

...Following a serious turn in the weather... The sun made it to the first "Billinghay family walk" of 2008 . We met up as usual at the Mosaic and then broke with tradition and set off to Tattershall castle! All present were members and it was it's first open weekend of the season.
A good run around through the floors, dressing up in the main hall, the wind was all too noticeable up on the roof and I let Tom take the boys up to the ramparts as I felt too unsteady...
(I know I shouldn't project my irrational fears onto my children, but I was NOT letting Leah go up, the thought of seeing her peering over the walls high up in her father's arms... Ooh, my stomach is churning simply thinking of it!) I'm fine with heights, it's the wind unbalancing me that overwhelms my senses)

Anyway the walk ended with a stroll around the neighbouring church although we sighted no bats! and then refreshments as usual provided by Chris and Su together with a box of mothering sunday chocolate treats! Mmmmmmmm thank you! See you all at the next walk!

PS Happy St David's Day Daddy!
